The Gasthof Bad Dreikirchen is situated at 1120 metres above sea level, 3 km outside Barbiano, a small village in the Isarco Valley. The house is located in a protected landscape area and can only be reached on foot or by the "Torggler" off-road taxi.
The house is surrounded by woods and meadows and offers a spectacular view of the Dolomites opposite. Dreikirchen is a hamlet consisting of three churches, three inns and 15 widely scattered summer holiday homes, which the Bolzano merchant Heinrich Settari had built for his children.
The Barbiano waterfall, the Rittner Horn and the Villanderer Alm are ideal excursion destinations for experienced hikers.
Guests interested in culture can reach the Dürer town of Klausen with the Säben monastery or the Trostburg castle, the ancestral home of Oswald von Wolkenstein, from the house. Bolzano and Bressanone are both approx. 25 km away.
